Review
When i rented Wicker Park (WP) because of Harnette was in it, i didn't know that it was the remake of my most favorite french film, L'appartement which stars Monica Belucci and her husband, Vincent Cassel. Since the opening dialog, WP brings the spirit of L'appartement with it, so I cannot help comparing the two versions. For those who have not seen the original version would probably think that WP is so original on the story and performance. But it is far from original.    See all

Cowboys & Alien by Scott West Band
Scott West began developing his album Sex On Sunday with Ian Samwell in 2002. “I used to have lunch with Ian on Fridays, and we’d talk about the craft of songwriting and how to capture the personality of a song in the studio. Ian was an amazing songwriter and producer.”    See all

Review
What happens when you overvalue a movie concept and undervalue the story
The answer to the obvious question hovering around Jon Favreau's latest action blockbuster is yes, "Cowboys & Aliens" is as ridiculous as the title sounds. Yet blame doesn't quite belong on Favreau's shoulders or that of star Daniel Craig or the rest of the cast; rather, the failure of this alien-infested Western results from the domino effect of the countless studios and producers who put their faith (and money) in a concept rather than a story.    See all

Jon Favreau
[Actor, Director, Producer]
Date of Birth:  19 October 1966, Queens, New York City, New York, USA
Birth Name:  Jonathan Kolia Favreau

“I don't 'handle' people. It's so much easier to manipulate actors than to really have an earnest discussion with them. It's very easy to say whatever's going to appease them and then turn around and do whatever you want to do. It's difficult to be forthright with people, because the job does not lend itself to that.” Jon Favreau

Bio
Initially an indie film favorite, actor Jon Favreau has progressed to strong mainstream visibility into the millennium and, after nearly two decades in the business, is still enjoying character stardom as well as earning notice as a writer/producer/director.

Of Jewish and French/Italian descent, the amiable, husky-framed actor with the tight, crinkly hair was born in Queens, New York on October 19, 1966, the only child of two teachers. He attended the Bronx High School of Science before furthering his studies at Queens College in 1984. Dropping out just credits away from receiving his degree, Jon moved to Chicago where he focused on comedy and performed at several Chicago improvisational theaters, including the ImprovOlympic and the Improv Institute. He also found a couple of bit parts in films.   See all
